Gwangju and Kazan Signed Cooperation Agreement

Mayor of Gwangju, Gang Woon-tae visited Kazan, Russia yesterday and signed a cooperation agreement with its Mayor, Ilsur Metshin.

During the meeting, the two mayors agreed to step up efforts to revitalize cultural and sports exchange between Gwangju and Kazan.

Mayor Gang also stated that with the agreement, the international status of Gwangju has been strengthened as a bridgehead has been created to expand into Eastern Europe and Russia.

Mayor Gang and his party have visited Kazan to take the competition flag for the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade.
