President Park Geun-hye praised the development of the Surion, Korea’s first indigenous military helicopter, by saying that the development has made Korea the world’s 11th country to develop its own helicopter, at a ceremony to deploy the Surion at the Army Aviation School in Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do (South Chungcheong Province) on May 22.
