Foreign Ministry to Hold its “Introduction of Korea for Foreign Diplomats” Program

The Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) will hold a program called “Introduction of Korea for Foreign Diplomats” on December 4 and 5. This program is designed to introduce to foreign diplomats recently assigned to the Republic of Korea its various aspects, including politics, foreign affairs, culture and Hangeul (Korean writing system).

The program has been held on an annual basis since 1999 to help foreign diplomats newly assigned to the ROK with their overall understanding of the country. Until 2012, a total of 608 foreign diplomats took part in its 13 rounds. This year, 76 diplomats from 47 countries will participate in the program.

The KNDA will work to further develop the program in a bid to contribute to promoting the ROK’s friendly and cooperative ties with many other countries.
