Jangsu farm of the Korean Horse Affairs Association revealed ‘Menifee’, a Ssisumal (a male horse raised to spread its superior seed)
Jeollabukdo Jangsu’s Kyeongju hourse farm (operated by Korean Horse Affairs) has ‘Menifee’, a Ssisumal touting the Kyeongju hourse’s best pedigrees. It has returned from Jeju to the province in order to produce thoroughbred.
‘Manifee’, adopted from U.S.A after paying 40 billion won, has started its fertilization from 2007. The horses produced by him prove its superior value as racehorse by wining championship and second place in numerous races.
Jangsu farm is great in terms of its capacity as it has Korea’s second big facility (460,000 pyeong) for training and fertilization of horse, following Jeju farm. The Kyeongju Farm, surrounded by Namdukyousan Yukshipryung (580m), opens from Wednesday to Sunday.
In addition, visitors can see horse fertilization if they visit in right time. Also, visitors can find an appropriate place, a farm of racehorse, for their picnic if they walk along the pasture.
