Supporting venture business to create more jobs


The 4th Idea Marketplace opened ...16 additional venture companies being supported 

POSCO held the 4th Idea Marketplace at POSCO center on April 30 and selected 16 additional venture enterprises to support, which include nine enterprises run by young owners in their 20s and 30s. 

The Idea Marketplace provides would-be and full-fledged entrepreneurs of venture businesses in their early stages with an opportunity to introduce their businesses and find investors. This is the core phase of POSCO's venture program. 

The 4th Idea Marketplace entertained about 200 guests and investors, among which was President Jun-Yang Jeong. 

CEOs of POSCO Family companies attended the event to support mutual growth in a very practical way. The CEOs participating in the business brief plan to play a role in helping the venture companies receive strategic support and investment from the POSCO Family. 

In addition, the Re-Start-Up section for entrepreneurs wishing to make a comeback was opened at this event for the second time since the 3rd Idea Marketplace. The section has displayed prototype products of RFLED which are trying to restart after participating in the Healing Camp run by Foundation Jaegi: Revitalization Center for Strained Entrepreneurs, of the Unit View System and Doum Net which are also facilitating restart through the Re-Born program of the Seoul Metropolitan City. 


POSCO has held the 4th Idea Marketplace, its program to support young venture business and job creation on April 30 at POSCO Center and selected 16 additional venture companies to support. The feature of the 4th event is the Re-Start Up section for an entrepreneur who failed but tries to make a comeback. Thirteen companies, namely Adams Company, Soft-Epi, HOIT Company, Curaco, Small Leb, Samdeok Engineering, Qualson, I-Storms C&C, Close, Manna, Gongam Geori, Aider, and Ruba Tech had received in-depth mentoring for ten weeks after being selected for the 4th Membership Program, and they were given time to present their businesses and display their products at the event. 

Meanwhile, the 2nd University Student Press Crew was established, which had promoted POSCO Venture Partners via Social Network Service. 
President Jun-Yang Jeong said, "POSCO will take part in creating a venture ecology by establishing a one-stop service system for supporting venture companies. We will also grow and promote venture enterprises through the Idea Marketplace and go further in our continuous efforts in creating jobs for young people."
