In a bid to realize shared growth by providing the youth and the middle-aged with quality jobs, and helping the suppliers foster business competence through securing talented human resources who would initiate technology development or management innovation. The event was sponsored by Samsung Group and co-organized by the Federation of Korean Industries(FKI), and the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business(Kbiz).

The job fair was joined by 250 promising business partners including 226 first-tier suppliers such as Daeduck Electronics and Eotechnics who were designated by Samsung Electronics as the year's hidden champions, and 24 promising second-tier suppliers. 250 business partners of Samsung are going to hire more than 6,800 people this year including those from the job fair.

A large number of job seekers flocked to the COEX event; discharged military personnel aided by the Job-seeking Support Centers of the army, navy, air force and marine corps; all of the 1,000 students from Seoul Jungsu Campus of Korea Polytechnics; and 460 students from Suwon Hi-tech High School. 'Dream Talk! Talk!' wherein each of some 30 job seekers was allowed to talk about his or her dream and hope in a two-minute speech, and a lecture on how to write a resume and consulting on interviews by a Samsung's personnel manager were popular with the visitors.

At the opening ceremony, FKI Vice Chairman Seung Cheol Lee said, "I hope the job seekers will have a resolute will and ambition to make their companies hidden champions. The business partners are asked to create more jobs and eventually contribute to national economic progress by hiring more talented people irrespective of their educational background or "spec" referring to higher qualifications who would take the lead in innovation and corporate competence."
