The MOLIT also said that it has requested continuous support of Thailand for the Republic of Korea’s candidature for the ICAO Council (Part III) which will be held at the 38th Session of ICAO Assembly this October.

A MOLIT official said “taking the opportunity of the recent air consultations, the two countries solidified bilateral aviation cooperation which has over 40 years of history,” adding “the latest agreement is expected to contribute to enhance exchange between the two countries and offer a variety of choices to customers as the newly amended air tariff notification system will promote competition among airlines.”

The Official further stated that “the consultation result is also expected to significantly help the tourism industry by making travels to Korea more attractive to Thai tourists who take up a significant portion of foreign visitors to Korea posting over 10% growth yearly.”
