An express city bus linking the city of Gwangju and the Gwangju and Jeonam Joint Innovation city at Bitgaram will begin its operation from next year.
As part of efforts to improve traffic conditions and public transportation options for the citizens from Gwangju and Bitgaram city, Gwangju recently proposed to designate 2 routes for connections between Gwangju and Bitgaram.
The city of Naju where Bitgaram city is located also suggested that public transportation using inner city buses be expanded from the current 56 buses to 100, with a shortened travel time interval from 20 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, the municipal governments in Gwangju and Naju will continue their discussions on further direct connection buses between the two cities in Gwangju and Bitgaram throughout this year and the next.
