FKI invites newly appointed ambassadors to dinner

FKI invited 28 new Korean ambassadors, and 80 domestic corporate representatives to the 2013 dinner at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas on May 14.

In his welcome remarks, FKI Chairman Chang Soo Huh asked the newly appointed envoys for help, saying, "Like our competitors, the proactive support by our diplomatic missions abroad is a must in exploring new export and investment opportunities in foreign markets." The diplomats responded they would do their level best to assist the businesses in expanding their presence in foreign markets by bringing them up to date on local trade information, and in resolving problems with advancing into new markets.

The Federation has held a dinner meeting for the ambassadors prior to their transfer to new posts, and businessmen since 2009. The event was attended by Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Ho Moon Kang, President Chang Kyoo Park of Lotte Engineering & Construction(Lotte E&C), President Byeong Il Cheon of Daewoo International(DWI), and STX President Seong Yup Chu.
