Beach Visitors Decrease with Continuous Heavy Showers throughout Nation

With continuous heavy showers, the nationwide beaches and amusement parks have seen a decrease in the number of visitors.

Yesterday, rainfall between 10 and 50 millimeters hit areas around Honam and Yeongnam along with 30 millimeters of rain along the central area of the country.

Because of the rainy season, Haewoondae, one of the most well-known beaches in Busan welcomed only 50 thousand people over the weekend, which is a quarter of the usual number of its visitors in summer.

Meanwhile, authorities in Gwangju and Jeollanamdo have had emergency crews working to restore facilities and infrastructure damaged from heavy showers over the last weekend.
