Take a photo and capture three major sports events

Daegu City will hold a photo contest as part of its efforts to encourage the voluntary participation of its citizens in major sports events.

Anyone can join the “Capture the Moment” competition by submitting photos taken on the spot either by camera or mobile phone, which capture cheering spectators, athletes, training sessions and dramatic winning moments.

People can participate in the contest by logging onto the official Internet cafe of Daegu (cafe.naver.com/colorfuldg) and posting their pictures on the “Capture the Moment” segment, along with a brief caption.

The photo contest will start on May 11, when the Korea Youth Para Games kicks off, and run until June 2. The city will announce the 20 best photos, through an online vote, by June 18.

Meanwhile, similar content will be offered for the 33rd National Para Games that will get underway from Sept. 30 and run to Oct. 4.
